Have you set your goals for 2012 yet? Here’s a few must-haves for the new year that will surely help you accomplish every last one!
1. A day timer and a gratitude journal.
Avoid double-booking or running yourself into the ground by keeping a day timer! Never commit to any event without consulting it. At the end of the day, keep the peace in your life by keeping a gratitude journal, writing one thing a day that you are grateful for.
2. “The Artist’s Way’ by Julia Cameron.
This book is a course in discovering and recovering your creative self. Read this artist’s book of knowledge, and pair it with ‘The Artist’s Way Workbook, with over 110 tasks to help guide you to your best self.
3. A weekly budget.
Allow yourself a set amount to spend on miscellaneous and necessities, and stick to it! What isn’t spent at the end of the week can turn in to a small gift for you, or better yet, an addition to your savings account!
4. A fresh new closet!
Clean out those cobwebs and articles you never wear, and have a clothing swap! Invite all your friends over, and ask them to bring their old clothes. Have fun trying them on, and then donate it all to your favorite charity.
5. An audition bag.
Save yourself from running to the printers or sifting through dirty laundry 30 minutes before an audition! Stock your audition bag full of extra head shots and resumes, snacks and water, a toothbrush and toothpaste, and a few articles of clothing and accessories you always seem to wear.
- All the best in 2012!
